Requirements: a working knowledge of both spoken and written English. This course is open to more advanced writers (i.e., experience with writing groups and/or writing project).In this class we'll explore the journey a story takes from conception to final draft. Our goal will be to develop our fine motor skills when it comes to writing: how to control pacing, how to develop a consistent voice, etc. In seven interactive lessons we?ll dive deep to answer the question what makes good writing. We'll do this by means, prompts and assignments, as well as through reading others (and each others) work.
In this course, you will:
- Learn the process of a full writing project, from conception to final draft.
- Develop skills such as understanding and applying pacing, shaping a voice, understanding a story's emotional arc, etc.
- Have learned to spot and unpack anxieties that keep you from finishing a story!
- Have learned how to take a story through various editorial phases.

Course dates:
During the entire course, classes will take place weekly on the same day and at the same time. Whenever a class is cancelled due to a holiday or due to an unforeseen cause (sickness of the teacher, unforeseen reasons in organization), the end date of the course will be extended with one week in order to complete the course . Please take into account that, due to this reason, the course can last several weeks longer than anticipated.
