Entry Requirements: a reasonable command of English is preferred as we will be reading and discussing stories in English. No experience is necessary.

Do you want to learn how to write about jetpacks, telepathic aliens, and planets with four moons? Do you want to write about worlds where plants talk or every resident is king for a day? Or do you want to expand your D&D campaign? In this course, you will learn how to create a new world and populate it with engaging, living characters.

We will start immediately with writing exercises in class. Then you will receive explanations on how to build a believable world, how to come up with new technology, and how to explain it to your reader without being boring. In the last four weeks, you will write a short story based on the ideas you developed in the first three weeks. During those lessons, you will receive feedback from the instructor and your fellow students.
