Requirements: Digital SLR camera, mirrorless camera, or pocket camera (with manual exposure settings such as P, A, S, M modes) and RAW file format. No prior experience in photography is required to take this course.

This comprehensive course covers the fundamentals of shooting with a digital SLR or mirrorless camera, from capture to post-processing. It addresses both technical and artistic aspects of photography, aiming to help you create more creative and technically better photos. The operation and functions of the camera will be covered, and general photographic principles such as depth of field, exposure techniques, and types of lighting will be discussed. There will also be a focus on composition and analyzing photos. The course includes several photographic assignments that will require a few hours per week to complete. The assignments will be discussed collectively. The course is taught by various instructors, all of whom cover the aforementioned general topics and also emphasize their own backgrounds in their courses.
